Walking frames give you something steady to hold on to as you walk, at home or out and about. Our frames and walkers are priced from $120.99 to $414.99.
You can choose a standard folding frame with one or two push buttons, or a folding frame supplied with 5-inch front castors so you can push it instead of lifting it. There's also the 272kg Extra Wide Heavy Duty Folding Walking Frame, an Aluminium One Button Step Up Walker with a two-tier frame, a 140kg Heavy Duty Deluxe Gutter Arm Walker with forearm supports and hand brakes, and a Knee Walker. Maximum user weights listed on our product pages run from 100kg to 272kg, depending on the model.
Accessories include walker tips, walker skis and a 5-inch wheel extension leg for converting a frame to front wheels. These all have size notes, so check that they match your frame's leg diameter.
Most frames are height adjustable. As a starting point, with your arms relaxed by your sides, the hand grips should sit about level with your wrist crease. If you're not sure what suits you, talk to an occupational therapist (OT) or another health professional before you buy.
FAQs
Should I get a walking frame with wheels?
Front wheels let you push the frame instead of lifting it, while a frame without wheels stays put when you lean on it. Which is right depends on how you walk, so ask your OT or physiotherapist. We sell frames supplied with 5-inch castors, and extension legs to add front wheels to a compatible frame.
Do walking frames fold?
Most of the frames in this range fold for storage and transport, using one or two push buttons. The folded width is listed on the product page where the supplier has provided it.
What weight can the frames take?
It depends on the model. The supplier lists 136kg for the 1 Button and 2 Button folding frames, 140kg for the Heavy Duty Deluxe Gutter Arm Walker and 272kg for the Extra Wide Heavy Duty Folding Walking Frame. Check the product page before you order.
Can I claim these through the NDIS?
Items may be claimable for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Check your plan or ask your plan manager before you order. Mobility Concierge is not a registered NDIS provider, so we can't supply NDIA-managed (agency-managed) plans.
How much is delivery?
Shipping is a flat $14.95 on orders under $500 and free on orders of $500 or more. Express shipping is $25.99. Orders are processed in 2–5 business days, and we ship within Australia.
